Verde

February 21, 2012

I am forever on the look out for awesome natural and organic products that can keep my processed hair in great condition. I’m not the only one. Anyone who uses color on her hair, even an organic color, will have dryer hair those someone who keeps her hair dye free. The organic color I use now is worlds better than the color I used to use, but still, my hair is slightly dryer than I’d like it to be.Kevin has launched his own Verde shampoo and conditioner brand, and he graciously gave me a tube of both. I fell in love instantly with the scent of both, and after using them, I fell in love with the products themselves. The RESURFACE [WASH], think shampoo if you’re old school, is gentle on color treated hair. And the REVITALIZE [AFTER WASH], think conditioner if you’re old school, worked wonders on my hair after the first use. The lavender oil, sea kelp and orange oils in the [AFTER WASH] worked their magic and left my lovely locks with a clean scent and plenty of manageable shine. Pure Love Grows X0X0X0

Since going more natural with my beauty routine, I’ve found several hair care products that beat the pants off the conventional products I used to use. I’ve just discovered another hair care line that I love and must share with all my girls.

As the beauty contributor forPhilly Health Watch, I get to meet some amazing people who are involved in the region’s beauty scene. I had the absolute pleasure to do the make up of two of the lovely contestants for a Philly Health Watch event. While I was helping these natural beauties, I met Kevin Gatto. Kevin is the owner of the environmentally-conscious Verde salon in Collingswood, N.J. (Verde means green. Love it!)

If you live in the South Jersey region, you need to make your way to Verde for a day of pampering. If you can’t make it to the salon itself, you can order both the RESURFACE [WASH] and the REVITALIZE [AFTER WASH] from Verde’s online store.
