Nourish Your Skin

February 20, 2013

After weeks and weeks of cold, dry weather, is your skin feeling a bit leathery? You might be saying, “Yes, but it’s winter. What choice do I have?” Well, girlfriend, it is winter, but you do have a choice. And, since spring will be here in exactly one month, it’s time to get to work in turning that leather into velvet.

One of my current absolute fave products is Nourish Organic Body Butter. Let me tell you why I love, love, love it. First of all, there’s the turning leather into velvet thing. It adds moisture to my skin and makes it much softer and healthier looking. That’s amazing in itself, but the ingredients are pretty impressive, too.

Just like with my Jing Ai products, Nourish is made using USDA organic ingredients so you don’t have to worry about chemicals hurting your skin. The products are also gluten free, vegan and they’re certified by the Leaping Bunny Program that promises that no new animal testing is used in any phase of product development by the company, its laboratories, or suppliers. Cruelty-free beauty products are very important to me.

And, like Jing Ai, Nourish gives back. They contribute to organizations like The Women’s Center, Association for the Blind, City Rescue Mission, Meals on Wheels, and the Salvation Army as well as local sports teams and schools. I totally respect that in a company.Nourish has five great all-natural scents: almond vanilla, fresh fig, lavender mint, pure unscented, and wild berries. I particularly love the simplicity of the almond vanilla. I buy Nourish at my local Wegmans Market, but you can purchase it from the Nourish website or from Amazon.

What are you doing to get your skin in velvety condition for all those fun spring clothes that are going to show more skin?
