Happy New Year! Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get back to the healthy routines – eating yummy, nutritious foods, getting to bed at a decent hour instead of staying up late chatting with family and friends, and of course, exercising.
Whether exercising is something you’ve been doing all along or it’s a New Year’s resolution for you, I do hope you make keeping yourself healthy a priority in 2014. I have such a good feeling about this year. Amazing, spectacular things are going to happen, girls. I just feel it. And when the good things happen, we all have to be in our best health so we can enjoy them to their fullest!
My workout wardrobe needs a little freshening up so I spent some time online hunting some sustainable workout gear. I haven’t bought anything yet. I need to go through what I already own to see what really needs to be replaced. But, since I did all this research, I wanted to share some finds that really impressed me.
Tasc Performance – I was super excited when I came across this company. They’ve formulated their own material for their fitness clothes from Bamboo, a very sustainable resource. The clothes are attractive and reasonably priced for the quality. It’s a U.S. based, family owned company (hooray for entrepreneurship!). The clothes are categorized, so you can search by activity like yoga, tennis, or running.
Green Apple Maximum Support Bra – Good support is an absolute must! This vegan, organic sports bra looks like it will do the trick. It offers full coverage, too, and looks like it will work for any type of exercise.
Rodales – This was another exciting website to come across. I’m really happy about the descriptions on the fitness clothing; they explain what makes the items sustainable. Rodales’ also offers some workout tools that have eco-friendly features, like resistance bands with handles made from recyclable materials. This site is more than just sustainable fitness items. It has all sorts of eco-friendly goods on it from everyday clothing to cooking items.
Do you have a source for sustainable work out gear – particularly some sports bra’s made from organic or other eco-friendly material? Share it with us, please. Pure Love Grows XOXOXO
