Easter & Little Fingers

April 18, 2014

I have a special place in my heart for all my fellow entrepreneurs. It takes a lot of courage to do what we do. There’s one entrepreneur in my town that I think is extra special. Katie is the 11-year-old daughter of my friend Denise, and she has her own thriving business centered around Easter.

You know I’m gaga over our furry friends, especially bunnies since Jing Ai is Leaping Bunny certified. When you see that certification on our packaging you can be assured that no animal testing was used in any phase of product development by us, our laboratories, or our suppliers.

Katie is in business to help out the Easter Bunny. She’s created darling little Mason jar gifts for Easter. They’re filled with beautiful little ornaments and candy. They’re so pretty that I can’t imagine eating the candy and ruining the whole look of the jar; I want the jar to stay that way forever. But, I know if I put one of these jars in a kids’ Easter basket, that candy would be gobbled up lickity-split!

Katie works very hard on her Mason jars and I can tell that each and every one is made with love. I’m certain it’s very time consuming to put them together, but this 11-year-old has a passion for her creation, and she’s confident enough that others will see her passion so she started her own business. When she sells these holiday jars at some of the town events where I’m also selling Jing Ai, she always does very well. Moms and kiddos go crazy for them. I think Katie has embarked on a venture that can take her as far as she wants to go. If I were a buyer for a specialty shop, I’d be investing in some of these jars for my retail store.

I am so impressed with Katie’s dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. She’s an inspiration. I’m looking forward to watching her over the years to how else she’s going to wow the world with her business savvy.

She doesn’t have a website for her creations yet, but if Katie’s Easter Mason jars have caught your attention, inbox me through my Jing Ai Facebook page, and I’ll get you in touch with her… Happy Easter!!!
